Here you may post messages or questions pertaining to the keeping and care of these animals. Before deciding to embark on the road to hedgehog ownership, check state and local laws and regulations concerning the legality of keeping these exotic pets.

Ancient Romans celebrated the Hedgehog by naming a holiday for the animal! That original "Hedgehog Day" evolved into today’s Groundhog Day.

The 16 species of hedgehogs are found in Europe, Asia, Africa, and New Zealand. None of these animals are native to Australia and North America. Hedgehogs are nocturnal.
